About The Motherhood Lounge:
The Motherhood Lounge is a safe, affirming space created for Black mothers to build community through every stage of the motherhood journey. We come together to uplift one another, share real moments, and bond during the most challenging and transformative times. At The Motherhood Lounge we strive to help Mothers put “HER” into Motherhood!

We are excited to share the full details for our upcoming Picnic at the Park & Children’s Book Exchange hosted by The Motherhood Lounge!
Date: Saturday, March 21, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Encanto Park- 2605 N 15th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85007
Tickets: $10 per mama | Children are free and do not require a ticket
A welcoming outdoor gathering for moms and little ones
Intentional connection time and community building
Open play for children
Story time and social circle
Children’s Book Exchange
Light Snacks and Beverages provided
A picnic blanket or lawn chairs
Sunscreen/hats as needed
A lunch if you and your little one would like lunch instead of a snack
One or two gently used or new children’s books to participate in the book exchange
The children’s book exchange is a wonderful opportunity to promote literacy, share stories, and allow each child to leave with a new book to enjoy at home.
This event is designed to create safe, joyful, and supportive spaces for mothers to connect while our children build friendships and make memories.
